My first week of the campaign

So it has been a crazy week - we had a bingo, BWW night, Taliano's Family Night, Quarter Mania, Tupperware Party and tomorrow (well technically it is today) the Salon Teased Open House!  Not to mention working full time at the Community Center and making sure Isaac got to school on time and that the house doesn't look too much like a disaster.  Though I definitely need to go to the grocery store this weekend!

I have to say . . . I have asked myself on several occasions "what have I gotten myself into this time?"  But it was my husband that reminded me . . . "you might have been busy this week but you didn't have to have a spinal tap."  And that was what I needed to keep me motivated.  Love you babe!

There are some things that stick out in my mind about this week and I know I will never forget them:

When Holly handed me an envelope on Monday night that was filled with change and a $1 - she told me that some of the residents at the nursing home she works in wanted to help me & the LLS out.  I still have that envelope with change and the $1 and I will carry it with me throughout the campaign to remind me that every dollar raised is a step forward in finding a cure for cancer.

Meeting a lady at Quarter Mania - who is a Hodgkins Lyphoma Survivor.  I had never met her and she had never met me, yet she and her husband donated over $350 worth of CDs and a DVD to auction off for donations to LLS.  And they both said "good luck and thank you" - it was I that said "thank you"

And then tonight - one of the Tupperware consultants told me her pet had passed away this summer from Lymphoma.  I guess I never even thought about pets getting this disease.

While planning the programs and events can be stressful at times . . . I want to make sure to enjoy this experience and take everything I can away from it.

Thank you to eveyrone for your continued support and well wishes.  It really does mean alot.
